Construction of Dangerous Cargo Jetty No. 4,
Johor.

The jetty is constructed to berth vessels from 2,000dwt to 80,000dwt and is equipped to handle dangerous liquid cargo. The project consists of approach trestle with the pipe rack & walkway, mooring & breasting dolphins and loading platform. The structure is supported by steel pipe piles ranging from diameter 762mm to 812mm and lengths from 28m to 40m. The piles were socketed into granite bedrock by drilling a larger hole and annulus space grouted with non-shrink cement grout.

The deck furniture supplied and installed were bollards, quick released hooks with capstans and cell fenders. The scope also includes fire fighting system, which consist of water tank, water pumps, fixed foam system, fire hydrant, carbon dioxide flooding system and fire alarm system. The berth operators control these systems from a control room onshore.
